Peng Xu
Professor, Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics

In January 2011, Peng Xu obtained a Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Physics and Mathematics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Wuhan. He has been working at the institute ever since and has conducted a six-month collaborative research with Prof. Dieter Meschede in Germany during this period. His research focuses on experimental studies of quantum simulation and quantum computing based on arrays of single-atoms in optical traps. He has published over 30 papers, including Science, Phys. Rev. Lett., and Nat. Commun. He has led several national-level projects, including the National Key R&D Program (2021YFA1402000) and the Key R&D Program for Young Scientists (2016YFA0302800). In 2017, he was selected as a member of the Young Innovation Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and was recognized as an outstanding member in 2021.
